Wake up People!

This is a crazy time. I always struggle with people that are overly "into" things. They lose their view of what is really going on.

I'm not Republican or Democrat. I vote for the person not the party. I'm so upset with what's going on in our government. Why put us through this? It doesn't feel like "a country of the people by the people".

My husband and I struggled for years to put food on the table. My husband worked hard and went to school to make a better life for our family. We finally are making lots of money. We are not set up well enough to retire because we started making good money late in the game.

We're 60 and hope to be able to retire when we're 65 BUT my husband would be willing to work longer and PAY higher taxes on our very generous income to get this country back under control.

There are lots of changes that need to happen on both sides of the "worlds". The government does spend way too much money. I believe we should pull out of this war. The Republican's believe they are protecting us from terrorists. They came over here and blew up our tower because they wanted us to leave them alone. I struggle to think they'd come over here and attack us because we left them alone.

By throwing money we don't even have into their well being leaves us weaker not stronger. We are poor and they are comfortable? How is that a good thing?

The Congress needs to look at the big picture. 

I Want Another Puppy To Melt My Heart Away

I'm so busy with blogging for my other blog I'm all blogged out by the time I get to this one. I need to have this one because my fingers just fly when I do a post. It's so nice. No worries about being perfect here:)

I have no idea where I'm going or why I'm working so hard to get there. If I got paid for all I do with social connections I'd be rich. I am rich in a way because I'm meeting and learning about lots of great women. WOMEN ROCK!

The only other thing that's going on in my life is the burning desire to get an Australian Terrier.

My little Yorkie passed away last year and I haven't had the desire to add a 3 doggie back into our family until I saw that breed at the festival I went to. They are amazing!

The Australian Terrier looks just like a Yorkie that's husky. I love that. I'm so afraid of getting small dogs now. My little one died looking into my eyes and I couldn't save him. He went from fine to dying in a very brief time... within hours. He tended to get diarrhea and he did again but this time it was his body shutting down. We were out of town and couldn't find a doctor but he was already almost gone when I woke up in the morning. A doctor could not have saved him my vet said. He just stayed to say good bye and to look into my eyes one more time.

His brother Andy misses him so much. Andy clings to me all day. His other brother Bob is not into other dogs and Andy is. He and his little brother Joe were inseparable. They were the same color so it looked like a Andy had two heads cuz his little brother laid on top of him most of the time.

Finding an Australian Terrier is tough. My husband usually gives me whatever I want. He's dragging his feet on this one. I'd told him I never wanted to have 3 dogs again. I guess I lied.

Wings And Wheels Festival

My husband and I went to the Wings...

And Wheels 

Festival in Wenatchee Washington. He had a fight with his camera. He use to be a journalist in the Navy and loved it. All the new bells and whistles on the fancy camera he bought gave him a bad time. I can't wait until he has time to figure out his new toys. 

We had a great time. God I love being married! Family ROCKS!

Old Women Are Great For Young Women

It use to be that older women shared wisdom with younger women so the younger women could learn from the older women and not make the same mistakes the older women made...what a mouth full!

I'm trying to make a point. Older women do have things to share. I'm one of the oldest women in the fitness industry doing DVDs. There are some in their 40's and early 50's but not many. Kathy Smith and I are about the oldest ones out there and we both look pretty good. Jane Fonda will be coming back. She's 72 but she had a face lift so she's cheating a bit lol.

If we're able to keep our bodies looking good as long as we have then we must be doing something right. I would think young women would want to pick our brains and do our workouts, or my workouts Kathy Smith has a good following. She got into the DVD filming industry when she was young so that helped her a lot. I didn't start doing the DVDs until I was in my late 50's so that has been a thorn in my side for sure.

My DVDs sell but not fast enough to make a lot of money. It costs so much to make them getting your money back is a slow slow process. It gets frustrating at times. I wish I would have known the proper pretty packaging that sells so well. I'm an original in every way. Oh well. If I ever make more DVDs I'm going pink and pretty all the way.

I'm A Small Town Gal

Help me!

I'm making yet another website...love to make them:) but I like really simple home-spun sites. Ones where you feel like you're working with someone not that you're part of a huge crowd that's getting some information and tons of selling. A lot of the products aren't even related!

Why do people like the boxy full of stuff pages? I can't find my way to the menu half the time.

I feel so out of place so much of the time. I do not want to change though. I like who I am. I like that I would rather spend time with my family, friends and doggies than going on the road to sell my DVDs. It's just not me. I could do a little of that but not much.

I do want to improve the sets on my DVDs. That's been a real challenge. There aren't a lot of studios here in Seattle that do well for filming workout DVDs. Windows showing the great views here and such are the main type of studios. We've had lighting nightmares.

Pleasing everyone is tough too. I don't know when I'll be able to do anymore DVDs. My neck is still healing and I look a little weird so I'm afraid that could turn some women off. I can't lift heavy weights anymore so I'm firm but not as buff as I was (much to my husbands delight lol).

My daughter in law just got laid off so I feel really pressed to sell more DVDs to help them out. My son did the production so he's my partner. I still can't get myself to go super commercial. I'm a small town gal and like being that way.
